Trying New Things in the Studio

 I came across this video today and I would like to share. It's amazing to me how vast the realm of ceramics can be and continues to fascinate me every day. I have always wanted to know what Engobes were and how they worked. I have some in my studio and this voice would say "when are you going to try them and see what they do.?" Today may be the day after I saw this video. My last blog post was trying new things and how it impacts the brain in a positive way. Now I get to try new things in my studio today and see how Engobes work and how I can use them in my studio. I love glazes and surface decoration in pottery. It's probably my most favorite. What I love about this video was the calming music and simplicity of the art coming through the artist onto the surface. This is what the beauty of ceramics can be. I hope you enjoy.
